Project Manager (Construction / Development)

Full-Time Position Overview Liberty Group is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Manager to support the planning, coordination, and execution of local and nationwide construction and development projects. This position will report directly to the Vice President of Construction and play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with design and quality standards. This role offers strong exposure to all phases of the development and construction process, with a clear path for professional growth. Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Vice President of Construction in managing multiple active projects
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, contractors, and vendors
  • Review construction drawings, specifications, and submittals for accuracy and completeness
  • Support project scheduling, budgeting, and cost tracking efforts
  • Manage and track RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation
  • Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress and ensure compliance with plans and schedules
  • Identify potential issues and collaborate with the project team to implement timely solutions Qualifications
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in architecture, construction management or similar related field preferred but not required.
  • Multiple years of relevant experience in construction, development, or design preferred. o Open to hiring less experienced candidates who demonstrate strong intangible qualities such as work ethic, adaptability, communication, and a willingness to learn and grow.
  • Proficiency or working knowledge of:
AutoCAD, Revit, or similar 3D modeling/design platform knowledge required
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, contracts, proposals and other technical documents
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and time management skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Efficient with modern technology including tablets, cloud based storage and use of A.I. Preferred Experience
  • Exposure to construction estimating and budgeting processes
  • Experience with drafting, rendering, visualization, or presentation tools
  • Familiarity with project management software platforms
  • Experience supporting commercial, multifamily, or institutional projects
  • Experience negotiating with subcontractors and vendors Travel Requirements
  • This position requires periodic travel to project sites, which may include overnight stays depending on project location and phase Compensation & Benefits
