Communications Lead
  • Alaska EPSCoR 532364 Fairbanks, Alaska, United States On Campus Staff Full-time Grade 80 UAF VCR Development Programs & Proj Add to favorites View favorites Alaska NSF EPSCoR is looking for amunications manager to leadmunications and reporting efforts for its Interface of Change project.
Themunications manager oversees all project internal and externalmunications, including project reports, newsletters, social media accounts, and designing and distributingmunications outreach products. Themunications manager will lead and organize various outreach events where project research and activities can be highlighted. Themunications manager will work with the EPSCoR researchers, project participants and the data visualization team in designing and implementing various audiovisual outreach materials. Themunications manager may have the opportunity to travel to EPSCoR researchmunities to help with project events and assist in filming and photographing EPSCoR activities. Alaska NSF EPSCoR is a statewide capacity building research project with a current focus on GoA marine resources. The EPSCoR Communications Manager position will lead all outreach efforts, internal and externalmunications and annual reporting efforts. To thrive in this role, the applicant should demonstrate strong writing and verbalmunication skills. Experience with science writing or research is preferred. The applicant should also possess project management and prioritization skills, data management skills and interpersonal skills.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Journalism, Communications or related field and four years of progressively responsible experience relevant to the program, or an equivalentbination of training and experience.
Position Details:
This position is located on the Troth Yeddha' campus in Fairbanks Alaska. This is a full-time, term-funded, exempt staff positionplete with both apetitive salary and full employee benefits package. UA provides a generouspensation package that includes retirement options, annual leave, 12 paid holidays per year, tuition waivers for employees and family members, and affordable medical, dental and vision care coverage. New hires will be placed on the UA Staff Salary Schedule, Grade 80, based on education and experience. Application review will begin on April 29, 2026.
