Full Job Description About Us:

ShellX Group is a fast-growing shell contractor focused on foundations, masonry, and structural shell work across South Florida. We work with top general contractors on residential and commercial projects and are known for being reliable, organized, and easy to work with. We're looking to bring on a strong, experienced Construction Manager who can take ownership of projects in the field while also supporting estimating and preconstruction.

Position Overview:

This is a hybrid role combining field management and estimating. You will be responsible for running multiple shell construction projects while also assisting in pricing new work. This position is ideal for someone who understands how to build in the field and how to put together accurate, competitive numbers.

Responsibilities:

Oversee day-to-day operations on multiple job sites Manage crews, subcontractors, and labor allocation Coordinate inspections, materials, and equipment Read and interpret structural and architectural drawings Maintain project schedules and ensure deadlines are met Communicate with GCs, inspectors, and internal team Identify and resolve field issues quickly and efficiently Ensure quality control and safety standards are upheld Provide daily updates and weekly progress reports

Estimating & Preconstruction Responsibilities:

Review plans, structural drawings, and specifications for new projects Perform quantity takeoffs for concrete, rebar, masonry, and related scope Assist in preparing detailed and accurate shell proposals Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for pricing (concrete, rebar, trusses, etc.) Identify scope gaps, clarifications, and exclusions Support bid leveling and value engineering where needed

Requirements:

10+ years of experience in shell construction (foundations, concrete, masonry required) Proven ability to manage multiple job sites and crews Experience with estimating and takeoffs for shell construction projects Strong understanding of structural scope, sequencing, and production Ability to read and interpret structural and architectural plans Strong understanding of costs, production rates, and job budgeting Strong communication and problem-solving skills Highly organized, reliable, and accountable Must have valid driver's license and transportation
