  • Part-time CBG Builders is a growing custom home building company serving coastal North Carolina and South Carolina.
We specialize in fully custom, client-centered homes and are looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented person to help keep our projects, clients, vendors, and documentation moving in the right direction. This is not a basic receptionist role. This is a key support position for a growing construction company. The right person will help keep communication organized, follow up with vendors and clients, track project details, and make sure nothing falls through the cracks. Position Overview We are looking for a Construction Operations Coordinator / Builder Assistant to work directly with the owner of CBG Builders. This person will help manage the administrative side of custom home projects, including client communication, project documentation, vendor follow-up, scheduling support, selections tracking, and JobTread organization. Construction experience is helpful, but the most important qualities are organization, communication, follow-through, and the ability to manage details in a fast-moving environment. Responsibilities
  • Maintain project information inside JobTread, our project management system
  • Upload and organize files, photos, notes, selections, proposals, and project documents
  • Draft client updates and follow-up messages for review
  • Track vendor quotes, selections, allowances, permits, ARB/HOA items, surveys, and bank draw documents
  • Follow up with vendors, trades, clients, realtors, lenders, designers, and other project partners
  • Maintain project checklists, action item lists, and "waiting on" lists
  • Help coordinate meetings, calls, inspections, selections appointments, and project deadlines
  • Assist with proposal preparation, change order documentation, and project organization
  • Keep communication professional, organized, and timely

  • Understands that details matter in custom home construction Experience in construction, real estate, mortgage, legal, insurance, design, property management, or vendor/supplier coordination is a plus. Requirements
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organization and follow-through
  • Comfortable with email, spreadsheets, cloud-based software, and project management tools
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and priorities at once
  • Ability to maintain confidential client and business information
  • Willingness to learn construction terminology and processes
  • Reliable transportation preferred Experience with JobTread, Buildertrend, CoConstruct, Monday.com, Google Drive, Microsoft Office, or similar platforms is a plus, but not required. Schedule & Compensation Compensation $22
  • 28 per hour, depending on experience Schedule Part-time to start, with potential to grow into full-time Hours Approximately 20-30 hours per week to start Location Hybrid / remote admin work with occasional in-person meetings or project-related errands as needed Compensation and schedule may be adjusted based on experience, availability, and ability to take ownership of the role.
