Job Title:
Construction Project Manager Job Description The Construction Project Manager oversees complex utility relocation and roadway construction projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and in alignment with engineering and design requirements. This role works closely with construction, engineering, and design teams to support full-scale roadway improvement and utility projects, while effectively coordinating with internal stakeholders and external partners. It offers a long-term contract opportunity with the potential to convert to a full-time role, along with paid time off and holiday pay during the contract period. Responsibilities Lead and manage utility relocation projects associated with full-scale roadway construction initiatives. Support and coordinate utility-related scopes for roadway improvement projects from planning through execution. Collaborate closely with construction, engineering, and design teams to align utility relocation plans with overall project designs and constraints. Monitor project schedules, track milestones, and proactively address delays or risks to keep projects on time. Manage project budgets, monitor costs, and ensure adherence to financial targets and constraints. Coordinate and communicate with internal cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on project objectives, timelines, and deliverables. Engage and communicate with external stakeholders, including utility entities and other project partners, to support smooth project execution. Oversee construction activities related to utilities, including work on water, sewer, power, gas, and other heavy utility systems as applicable. Ensure project documentation, reporting, and tracking are accurate and up to date for schedule, budget, and scope. Identify and resolve project issues related to utility construction and relocation, escalating risks and proposing mitigation strategies as needed. Essential Skills 5-8+ years of construction project management experience. Proven experience managing construction projects with significant utility scopes, including utility construction and utility relocation. Experience with project and program management in a construction environment. Background in full-scale or major roadway construction projects. Experience with roadway improvement construction projects. Construction management expertise, including schedule and budget control. Experience with mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) aspects of construction projects. Project budget management, including cost tracking and financial oversight. Project schedule management, including milestone tracking and timeline control. Strong stakeholder communication skills, with experience engaging internal and external stakeholders. Experience working with energy, gas, or related utility projects. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with heavy utility construction such as water, sewer, or power plant projects. Experience supporting utility relocation within large roadway or infrastructure programs. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams including construction, engineering, and design. Strong skills in stakeholder and cross-functional team management. Ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment. Detail-oriented approach to project documentation, reporting, and compliance. Work Environment This role operates in a hybrid work environment based out of the Bothell, WA area, combining on-site presence at project and office locations with remote work as appropriate. The Construction Project Manager supports full-scale roadway construction, roadway improvement, and utility relocation projects within the energy and utilities sector. The work involves regular collaboration with construction, engineering, and design teams, as well as interaction with external stakeholders such as utility partners. The position is offered as a long-term contract with the possibility of conversion to a full-time role and includes paid time off and holiday pay during the contract period. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Bothell, WA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $65.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
