Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Construction Superintendent/Project Manager to lead and oversee complex construction projects from inception to completion. This role combines hands-on supervision with strategic project management, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in construction management, excellent leadership skills, and a comprehensive understanding of construction processes, safety standards, and project scheduling. Responsibilities Lead and coordinate all phases of construction projects, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation. Oversee daily operations on-site, supervising subcontractors, vendors, and construction teams to ensure quality work and adherence to safety protocols. Review blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate implementation of design specifications. Manage contracts, change orders, and procurement processes to optimize project costs while maintaining quality standards. Conduct regular site inspections to monitor safety compliance (OSHA standards), quality control measures, and progress milestones. Ensure effective communication among all stakeholders including clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and internal teams. Implement project controls related to budgeting, scheduling adjustments, risk mitigation strategies, and resource management. Maintain comprehensive project documentation including daily reports, incident logs, inspection records, and safety reports. Qualifications Proven experience in construction management with a minimum of several years supervising large-scale projects in the field. Strong knowledge of construction site operations including blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and construction estimating. Hands-on experience with contracts administration and change order processing. Knowledge of OSHA safety standards along with the ability to enforce safety protocols on-site. Supervising experience with a focus on team leadership and conflict resolution. Technical skills including use of an ohmmeter for electrical testing when necessary; ability to read technical drawings accurately. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in budgeting, quality control measures, and project documentation.
