Director, Planning & Construction Hallsta
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Director for Planning & Construction is responsible for developing and directing project management operations and strategic planning to achieve organizational goals. This position provides overall strategic governance for healthcare projects by establishing standards, methodologies, and tools for effective project delivery. The Director ensures productivity, quality, and compliance targets are met while addressing escalated issues that may impede delivery and proposing operational improvements for future projects.
SUPERVISORY POSITION
1. Oversee multiple concurrent healthcare projects. 2. Manage and mentor a team of assigned personnel. 3. Develop systems and strategies for effective project management. 4. Ensure projects meet defined scope, timelines, budgets, and objectives.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
: 1. Ensure Planning & Construction personnel maintain comprehensive project documentation, including plans and reports. 2. Oversee the accuracy and completeness of project files to sustain compliance with internal, local, state, and federal regulatory requirements. 3. Monitor and ensure the timely submission of local, state, and federal regulatory compliance reports. 4. Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to organize components necessary for project initiation, execution, and completion, including schedules, activities, procurement, and progress tracking. 5. Develop functional strategies, objectives, budgets, policies, and procedures to support the project team. 6. Delegate and track work progress across Planning & Construction personnel, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget. 7. Provide regular project status updates, audits, and reports to executive leadership. 8. Collaborate with Operational Readiness and executive leadership to assess project proposals for strategic alignment, impact, and value. 9. Interface with executives to define priorities, address challenges, and identify risks and opportunities. 10. Drive business development initiatives by engaging with current and prospective clients to review capital and master planning, future projects, marketing strategies, and social media. 11. Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
1. Bachelor's degree and/or project management certification or equivalent experience in project management. 2. 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager in the healthcare sector (required). 3. 5+ years of experience with California hospital (OSHPD/HCAI) construction projects preferred. 4. Experience in the design phase of healthcare projects. 5. Proficiency in construction estimating, cost management, project controls, and scheduling. 6. 5+ years of managerial experience preferred. 7. Excellent proficiency in MS Office Suite and project management software.
Pay:
$166,500.00 - $191,475.00 per year
