Role:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Human Resource Manager to oversee all HR functions for our ongoing construction project. The HR Manager will be responsible for recruitment, employee relations, compliance, and performance management to ensure a productive and positive work environment on site. The successful candidate will work closely with project managers, site supervisors, and extended HR teams to drive organizational objectives while maintaining regulatory and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement HR policies and procedures aligned with company objectives and construction industry standards. Coordinate and manage recruitment, onboarding, and orientation for project staff and laborers. Oversee employee performance reviews and ensure development plans are in place. Administer payroll, benefits, and HR-related documentation accurately and in a timely manner. Ensure compliance with labor laws, health & safety regulations, and company policies. Address and resolve staff grievances, conflicts, and disciplinary actions professionally. Foster a culture of diversity, inclusiveness, and safe work practices across the project workforce. Collaborate with project managers for manpower planning and resource allocation. Maintain up-to-date HR records, reports, and databases. Deliver HR-related training sessions and workshops to staff as needed.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years' experience in HR, with at least 2 years in a construction or related industry role. Thorough understanding of local labor laws and employment standards. Proven experience in recruitment, employee relations, and compliance. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. Strong organizational and time management abilities. Proficiency in HRIS and MS Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in Human Resources or related discipline. Certification such as SHRM-CP, PHR, or equivalent. Experience managing HR functions for large-scale construction projects. Multilingual abilities.
