Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Construction Project Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, with experience in project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and coordinating with subcontractors. The successful candidate will be able to develop and implement project plans, oversee the progress of construction projects, and ensure that all safety regulations are met. The Construction Project Manager must be organized and detail-oriented, with excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Responsibilities:
Manage the budget, schedule, and scope of construction projects. Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure quality work is completed on time and within budget. Develop plans for the project, including labor, materials, and equipment needs. Inspect construction sites to ensure safety regulations are followed. Manage the procurement of materials and equipment needed for the project. Ensure all permits and licenses are in place before beginning construction. Monitor progress of the project and make adjustments as needed.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • 5+ years of full-time construction project management experience
  • Bachelor's degree in construction, Construction Management, or a related field
  • Two years of relevant coursework or practical experience in water, wastewater, groundwater, stormwater, or recycled water fields performing professional-level resource planning, modeling, and legislative or regulatory analysis is preferred.
  • Two years' adaptive field management, quality control supervisory experience
  • Experience in construction bid processes, cost estimates, site grading, drainage plans, utility design including hydrology/hydraulics, and stormwater treatment design.
  • Experience managing installations for commercial or public LID/Green infrastructure projects
  • Experience with onsite LID water resource and watershed-based calculations
  • Experience with water resource monitoring data collection and metadata organization
REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES
  • Creative, integrative, and constructive positive approach to work ethic, time management, team building, and client
  • Detail-oriented, highly self-organized, and able to meet deadlines consistently
  • Strong financial and budgeting skills with demonstrated experience managing construction budgeting and bid processes
  • Must be a team player and willing to contribute to a fast-paced, dynamic, creative environment
  • Good listener, able to take and follow directions, as well as delegate identified subtasks to others
  • Must be able to travel for short and extended periods throughout California
  • Must be a self-starter and work independently with conflicting deadlines
  • Must have some general knowledge and certification in water conservation, greywater, rainwater, watershed hydrology, and stormwater systems
  • Able to understand and follow planning schematics for water assessment planning
  • Familiarity and practical experience with practices and trends in water supply, development, and management of water in California. Understanding of regulatory framework for green infrastructure water, wastewater, groundwater, stormwater, or recycled water issues
  • Excellent and professional oral and written communication skills
  • Strong understanding of rainwater, greywater, stormwater design schematics, typical materials, pump systems, and plumbing code compliance.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office software suite
LOCATION
Watershed Progressive's northern CA office is located in Groveland, CA, near Yosemite NationalPark, although projects range throughout California. Remote work arrangements will beconsidered; however, travel to project sites will be required when necessary.
