Traveling Data Center Construction Manager Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Manager to oversee and coordinate various engineering, research and development, financial systems, and product roll-out projects. The role involves planning, directing, and coordinating activities to achieve project goals efficiently. Responsibilities Coordinate projects, making detailed plans to accomplish goals and directing the integration of technical activities. Present and explain proposals, reports, and findings to clients. Recruit employees, assign, direct, and evaluate their work, and oversee the development and maintenance of staff competence. Analyze technology, resource needs, and market demand to plan and assess the feasibility of projects. Confer with management, production, and marketing staff to discuss project specifications and procedures. Review and recommend or approve contracts and cost estimates. Essential Skills Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and manage one's time effectively. Knowledge of production processes, quality control, costs, and techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods. Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, and production methods. Proficiency in computer software such as MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, and Visio. Additional Skills & Qualifications Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field. PMI or PMP certification preferred. 5-7 years of experience in data center construction management. 10 years of total construction management experience. 5 years of experience in construction planning and progress evaluation. Work Environment This position is 100% remote with extensive travel required to five different project sites across the US, accounting for 75% or more travel time. The role involves a 40-hour workweek, with an additional 10 hours as needed. Required equipment includes personal protective equipment (PPE) such as steel-toed boots, hard hat, vest, gloves, safety glasses, and hearing protection, along with a monitor, laptop, and headset. Adobe software is required on the laptop. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Redmond, WA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $77.00/hr.
