Job Description

Executive Construction Homes, LLC is a multi-award-winning home builder recognized by the Greater Columbia Home Builders Association, with a strong presence throughout the Columbia, SC area. We are known for delivering high-quality craftsmanship across residential subdivision development projects, including site work, land clearing, grading, erosion control, and infrastructure installation. As demand continues to grow, we remain committed to building well-crafted homes across a wide range of price points while upholding safety, efficiency, teamwork, and excellence on every job site. We are currently seeking a dependable and motivated Land Development Weekend Crew Manager . The ideal candidate will oversee weekend field operations, coordinate and lead the crew, ensure projects are completed on schedule, and maintain high standards of safety and quality. This role requires strong leadership, excellent organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and a commitment to delivering projects efficiently and accurately.
Overview:
Weekend Only! This role includes three 10-hour shifts on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, along with a required Monday debrief at 6:00 AM. Compensation is based on a package that accounts for hours worked beyond 30 per week and will be discussed further during the interview process. In essence, compensation may exceed actual hours worked based. The Land Development Manager will oversee weekend site operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and quality across all projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Attend Monday debrief meetings at 6:00 AM to provide updates to the management team on weekend activities and progress. Supervise and coordinate weekend crews to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and safely. Plan and oversee construction projects from conception through completion. Implement erosion control measures and maintain proper site conditions. Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, quality, and compliance with project plans. Operate and manage heavy equipment, including GPS bulldozers with root rakes and excavators, for grading, land clearing, and site preparation. Perform routine equipment inspections and maintenance to ensure operational reliability. Enforce all safety guidelines, job site protocols, and quality standards.
Requirements:
Proven experience operating bulldozers (with root rakes) and excavators. Strong management skills with the ability to lead and coordinate teams effectively. Excellent written and oral communication skills. In-depth knowledge of permits, safety site restrictions, and other key aspects of land development. Experience with erosion control and site preparation preferred. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work independently, make decisions on-site, and adapt to varying weather conditions. Valid State Commercial Driver's License (SCDL) with a clean driving record.
Schedule:
Weekend-only position (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday; three 10-hour shifts), with a required Monday debrief at 6:00 AM.
Pay:
$75,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
