Construction Site Superintendent Reliance Contracting | Commercial ConstructionCharlotte, NC Region | Travel within a 3-hour radius About UsAbout Reliance Contracting Reliance Contracting is a commercial general contractor specializing in ground-up and upfit projects for restaurants and retail spaces throughout the Charlotte region and surrounding areas. We pride ourselves on building strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and employees while delivering high-quality projects safely and efficiently. Position Overview Reliance Contracting is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Construction Site Superintendent to oversee daily field operations and ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and at the highest quality standards. The Superintendent serves as the on-site leader responsible for coordinating subcontractors, maintaining project schedules, enforcing safety standards, and ensuring successful project execution from mobilization through closeout. Responsibilities Lead and coordinate day-to-day jobsite activities from project startup through completion. Manage and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel. Maintain and drive project schedules in coordination with the Project Manager. Identify potential schedule conflicts and proactively develop solutions. Conduct quality control inspections to ensure work meets plans, specifications, and company standards. Enforce OSHA and company safety standards on-site. Conduct weekly subcontractor coordination meetings and daily field planning. Coordinate inspections and ensure compliance with all local building requirements. Review and interpret plans, specifications, shop drawings, and construction documents. Work closely with Project Managers regarding schedules, budgets, RFIs, submittals, and project updates. Document jobsite progress through daily logs, photos, and reporting using Buildertrend. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional jobsite. Assist in obtaining permits and maintaining compliance requirements. Coordinate project punch lists and closeout activities. Qualifications 3+ years of experience as a Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, or similar field leadership role. Experience in commercial construction required. Experience with retail, restaurant, or tenant upfit projects strongly preferred. Strong understanding of construction sequencing and field operations. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents. Knowledge of local, state, and federal building codes. Experience coordinating inspections and permit processes. Strong communication and leadership skills. Excellent organizational and time management abilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Experience with Buildertrend, Procore, or similar construction software preferred. OSHA certification preferred. Why Join Reliance?
