Job Description

Company Overview Sentry is a self-performing general contractor and full-service EPC contractor providing design-build and general contracting services across commercial, industrial, manufacturing, and infrastructure markets. With multiple in-house divisions including construction, electrical, mechanical, manufacturing, and controls and automation, Sentry delivers projects from concept through completion while maintaining control over quality, schedule, and safety. Position Summary Sentry is growing and actively hiring a Construction Assistant Project Manager to support our construction team in Watertown, South Dakota. This is an opportunity to step into a role with real project exposure, strong mentorship, and a clear path to becoming a Project Manager. The Construction Assistant Project Manager works directly with Project Managers and field leadership to help drive projects forward. This is a hands-on role that supports coordination between the office and jobsite, giving you direct exposure to how projects are built from start to finish. Key Responsibilities Assist Project Managers with day-to-day project coordination Support the management of RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation Help track project budgets, costs, and schedules Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to support project execution Assist with project meetings and maintain meeting notes and action items Utilize Procore and other construction management software to manage project documentation Work with field teams to ensure communication between office and jobsite operations Support project closeout documentation and final deliverables Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred 1-4 years of experience in construction project coordination, field engineering, or a related construction role Field experience on active construction projects is required; candidates must understand jobsite operations and how work is executed in the field Basic understanding of construction processes, jobsite operations, and project scheduling Strong organizational and communication skills Experience with Procore or similar construction management software preferred Desire to grow into a Project Manager leadership role Compensation $23
