This role carries complete responsibility for revenue generation, field execution, labor management, estimating discipline, financial performance and organizational development. This is a hands-on operator position requiring deep expertise in drywall and metal framing subcontracting, labor productivity, estimating accuracy, project execution, and margin production.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Executive Leadership & Business Ownership Own WallPro's complete P&L, including revenue growth, gross margin, overhead control, cash flow, working capital, and EBITDA performance. Develop and execute strategic operating plan and growth roadmap. Establish the operational culture, standards, accountability structure for the business. Build scalable systems and organizational infrastructure to support long-term regional expansion. Deliver regular operational and financial reporting to BLDR Holdings leadership. Establish WallPro as the preferred framing and drywall subcontractor for EMJ, TEXBUILT, and future BLDR Holdings companies. Build strong relationships with outside general contractors, developers and owners. 2. Estimating, Preconstruction & Risk Management Own the bid strategy, pursuit selection, pricing discipline, and preconstruction execution. Review and approve all major estimates, contracts, and scope commitments. Ensure estimates are executable, properly scoped, and aligned with field capabilities. Develop labor production assumptions, manpower loading plans, and material strategies. Protect the company from unfavorable contractual risk and unrealistic schedules. 3. Field Operations & Project Execution Maintain direct accountability for project execution, labor productivity, quality, safety, and schedule performance. Build and lead field operations teams capable of executing multiple concurrent projects successfully. Set and enforce production standards, crew structures, manpower planning, and supervision expectations. Intervene directly on at-risk projects to correct performance, staffing, or leadership gaps . 4. Labor Strategy & Workforce Management Own WallPro's labor model, including employee crews, subcontract labor strategy, and workforce scaling. Recruit, retain, and develop field leadership; superintendents, foremen, and craft leaders. Establish training, safety, and performance expectations that support productivity and reduce turnover. Ensure labor costs, overtime, and crew utilization are actively managed and aligned with project budgets. 5. Safety, Quality & Operational Discipline Serve as the senior accountability point for safety performance across operations. Ensure compliance with OSHA, contractual safety requirements, and BLDR safety standards. Establish quality standards and inspection protocols specific to framing and drywall scopes. Implement disciplined operational systems including production tracking, forecasting, job cost reporting, change management, and documentation controls. 6. Financial Controls & Performance Management Establish and maintain disciplined cost tracking, job cost reporting, forecasting, and margin visibility. Review project financials regularly and take corrective action when variances emerge. Ensure billing, collections, cash flow, and working capital are actively managed. Develop KPI-driven operating reviews focused on productivity, gross margin, backlog quality, cash flow and safety performance. Job Requirements 10+ years of leadership experience in commercial drywall, metal framing, or structural carpentry subcontracting. Proven experience leading a subcontracting business unit, division, or branch with full P&L accountability. Deep understanding of labor productivity, sequencing, crew management, estimating and subcontractor risk management. Demonstrated success growing revenue while protecting profitability. Strong contract literacy and risk awareness specific to subcontractor agreements. Decisive, accountable, and comfortable operating in high-pressure field environments. Entrepreneurial mindset with the discipline to operate within a holding-company structure. Strong relationships within the commercial construction industry.
