The Opportunity This is a contract position and will involve being assigned to the Mckenzie-Park Court Homes Project in Mckenzie, TN 38201. This project starts on June 1st, 2026. Eaton Construction Services, Inc. will cover for lodging as/if needed during the duration of project. We are seeking a driven, organized, accountable Contract Project Superintendent to lead commercial construction projects from the field level. You will be the on-site leader. You will set the tone for the project. You will own execution, coordination, cleanliness, safety, communication, and schedule performance. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in high-responsibility environments and takes pride in running professional, organized, and efficient jobsites. If you prefer minimal responsibility, rigid schedules, or low-accountability environments, this position will not be the right fit. This is a contract position, and continued employment depends on job performance on the project that the contract superintendent is assigned. Core Responsibilities Lead and manage all on-site construction operations from project start to completion Drive project schedules aggressively while holding subcontractors accountable Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, architects, and engineers Ensure all work is completed according to plans, specifications, timelines, and quality standards Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, scopes, and construction documents accurately Enforce OSHA regulations and company safety standards without compromise Maintain clean, organized, safe, and inspection-ready jobsites daily Conduct quality control inspections throughout all phases of construction Identify issues proactively and solve problems quickly and effectively Maintain strong communication with project managers and company leadership Complete detailed daily reports, logs, and project documentation consistently Utilize construction management software including Buildertrend, Autodesk Construction Cloud, or similar platforms Upload site photos, track project progress, update schedules, and maintain organized digital records in real time Coordinate inspections and ensure projects remain on schedule Assist in maintaining budget awareness and minimizing unnecessary costs or delays Technology & Documentation Expectations Technology and documentation are essential components of this role. Daily reporting, organized project files, photo documentation, scheduling updates, and disciplined software usage are required — not optional. Candidates must be comfortable using construction management software, tablets, smartphones, and digital communication systems efficiently. If you resist organization, reporting, or technology, this position will not be a fit. Work Ethic & Time Commitment This role will typically require 50-60 hours per week during active project phases. Construction leadership requires urgency, follow-through, communication, and presence. Deadlines matter. Clients matter. Reputation matters. This is not primarily a travel position, but candidates must be willing to travel as project demands require.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience Preferred Experience:
5+ years of commercial construction superintendent or project management experience Strong blueprint reading and technical comprehension skills Experience managing subcontractors and field operations Knowledge of OSHA standards and jobsite safety enforcement Experience with Buildertrend, Autodesk Construction Cloud, or similar construction management software Strong organizational and documentation skills Budget awareness and cost-control mindset High attention to detail and quality standards Ability to lead projects in fast-paced environments What Matters Most Experience matters — but drive matters more.
