Assistant Construction Site Superintendent

Position Description:

Leads, directs and coordinates the work of subcontractors and/or trade labor in the assigned areas. The Assistant Superintendent is responsible for ensuring safety, schedule delivery, and overseeing quality of work performed in the assigned areas of the project.

Reports To:

Superintendent or Project Superintendent Support the Lead Superintendent in providing job site leadership and direction and keeping job on schedule. Assist to coordinate/direct all on-site construction activities of our subcontractors and project team. Ensure all company departmental, technical, and safety policies are adhered to. Assist in managing the scheduling and delivery of all supplies and material for the project. Assist in unloading materials onsite, and making sure Subcontractors are handling their own materials. Must be able to operate forklift and other site equipment. As required, manage all field operations of subcontractors to effectively install their portion of the work. Maintain a working relationship with project subcontractors. Ascertain and assure the quality of the work is in accordance with plans and specifications. Maintain a clean, orderly job site. Manage all field labor to accomplish designated tasks. Maintain daily logs to document all job site activities and events. Assist with implementation and maintenance of quality control programs and life safety checkout procedures. Have a "do what it takes" attitude towards completion of projects. Coordinate with Lead Super on daily and weekend site access for all trades to be able to keep on track with production schedule

Qualifications and Skills:

3+ years' experience in construction industry. Experience in building multifamily construction projects is a MUST. Competency with and access to tools. Must have a vehicle and valid Driver's License. Forklift/Equipment skills required. Proficient with Microsoft Project, Excel, Outlook, Word, Procore and basic technology. OSHA 30-hour certification is a plus, but not required. Must speak English, bilingual a plus.
