Job Description

Electrical Manager | Field-based | Greater Nashville, TN We're partnered with a growing electrical contracting company seeking an experienced Electrical Operations Manager to oversee daily operations, field teams, project execution, and customer relationships. This leadership role is responsible for driving productivity, project success, safety, and profitability across primarily residential builder projects, along with select commercial work. This individual will also serve as, or work toward becoming, the company's Qualifying Agent. Candidates must currently hold a CE License or have the experience and ability to obtain one within a reasonable timeframe. Responsibilities Lead day-to-day operations of the electrical contracting business Manage field crews, foremen, project managers, estimators, and office staff Oversee project scheduling, manpower planning, and resource allocation Ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget Build and maintain strong relationships with home builders, developers, general contractors, and customers Monitor project performance, costs, productivity, and profitability Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety standards, and company policies Recruit, develop, and retain high-performing team members Identify and implement process improvements to support continued growth Partner with ownership on operational strategy and business objectives Qualifications 5+ years of leadership experience within electrical contracting, electrical construction, or a related construction trade Experience managing field operations, personnel, and construction projects Strong understanding of residential construction and builder relationships Working knowledge of commercial electrical construction Current CE License preferred; Candidates without a CE License must have the qualifications and ability to obtain licensure within a reasonable timeframe Ability to become the company's Qualifying Agent Ability to manage schedules, budgets, and operational performance Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills Proficiency with construction management and project tracking software is a plus What We're Looking For A hands-on leader who can effectively manage people, operations, and customer relationships while helping the company continue to grow. The ideal candidate understands both the field and business sides of electrical contracting and can lead teams to consistently deliver high-quality work.
