Location:
Abilene, TX Role overview The Lease Construction Project Safety Advisor (PSA) is a critical safety leadership role responsible for supporting Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) performance across leased data center construction projects. This role ensures that lease partners effectively implement and maintain safety programs in alignment with Global Construction Safety Policy (as applicable), Contractual safety requirements and Applicable federal, state, and local regulations The PSA operates as a strategic safety advisor and oversight partner, influencing safety outcomes through evaluation, engagement, and continuous improvement, while the lease partner retains direct responsibility for site safety execution Top 3 must-have hard skills 5+ years of experience (and/or combination of experience and education) in construction safety, EHS, or a related field. Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, Construction safety practices and High-risk activity management Experience working with construction contractors (e.g., owner-representative EHS role or consultant). Key responsibilities Safety oversight and performance assurance Evaluate lease partner safety programs against contractual requirements and standards. Conduct site safety observations and performance assessments. Monitor compliance with regulatory requirements (OSHA, environmental, federal, and state regulations). Identify gaps, trends, and opportunities for improvement in safety performance. Support implementation of best practices and continuous improvement initiatives. Incident management and reporting Ensure timely notification of incidents (injury, illness, environmental, and property damage). Coordinate with stakeholders on incident escalation and communication. Review incident investigations and root cause analyses (RCA) led by lease partners. Validate corrective actions and follow-up measures are implemented effectively. Field engagement and high-risk activity (HRA) focus Participate in weekly high-risk activity (HRA) planning and lookahead meetings. Conduct field safety walks and observations. Evaluate effectiveness of risk identification and mitigation strategies. Support safe execution of high-risk activities (electrical, energy isolation, working from heights, material handling, mobile equipment, confined space, ground disturbance, hazardous materials, driving, temperature extremes, noise). Reporting and deliverables. Daily site observations (minimum 3 per visit) Weekly activity reports Maintain accurate records using systems: Enablon (observations) Stakeholder communication and coordination Serve as a liaison between Construction and lease partner safety teams. Communicate observations and corrective actions through management teams. Participate in key meetings as needed, including weekly HRA planning meetings. Safety leadership and culture influence Promote a proactive, prevention-focused safety culture. Provide coaching and guidance to project stakeholders. Reinforce leading indicators (observations, planning, engagement). Drive alignment between expectations and lease partner execution. Core deliverables and cadence Daily Conduct site safety observations Participate in progress meetings as needed. Weekly Perform site inspections (Enablon) as it applies. Attend progress/HRA look ahead meetings. Submit weekly activity report. Attend HRA, OAC, and coordination meetings.

Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, Construction safety practices and High-risk activity management Experience working with construction contractors (e.g., owner-representative EHS role or consultant). Ability to influence without direct authority; consultative mindset.
Preferred qualifications:
Experience in data center or mission-critical construction. Familiarity with High-risk activity (HRA) programs and Electrical safety / commissioning environments Professional certifications (e.g., CHST, OHST, CSP).

10+ years experience Degrees or certifications required: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management,Engineering, or related field AND 5+ years of experience (and/or combination of experience and education) in construction safety, EHS, or a related field.
