- Contract Role Overview We are currently looking for a skilled MEP Manager to join a significant data center or large-scale construction initiative based in Texas.
Project Details Site:
Texas Compensation:
$60- 105 hourly, based on your professional background
Daily Allowance:
$65- 120 per day, contingent on meeting eligibility criteria
Timeline:
Immediate start for a minimum 6-month engagement Core Duties Oversee the integration of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and control systems. Foster collaboration between superintendents, project managers, trade partners, vendors, and client stakeholders to ensure project alignment. Examine technical specifications, equipment schedules, installation plans, submittals, and RFIs to ensure accuracy. Facilitate constructability assessments and clash detection to improve system sequencing and site logistics. Track MEP milestones against the master schedule to help the team proactively mitigate potential delivery delays. Streamline the inspection and commissioning process to ensure seamless turnover and documentation completion. Maintain high standards of quality and safety to ensure all installations meet regulatory codes and client requirements. Resolve field conflicts and equipment issues to keep the project moving toward successful commissioning. Document project progress by managing action trackers, meeting minutes, and detailed status reports. Professional Qualifications Proven background in MEP management, coordination, or building services leadership on major construction projects. Comprehensive grasp of commissioning workflows and the technical aspects of electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems. Prior involvement in complex, MEP-intensive environments such as data centers, semiconductor facilities, or industrial sites is preferred. Proficiency in interpreting complex construction documents, including drawings, submittals, and equipment schedules. Deep understanding of construction sequencing and quality control to help maintain a safe and efficient job site. Familiarity with industry-standard software like BIM, Navisworks, Revit, Procore, or Bluebeam is a plus. Demonstrated ability to lead teams, solve complex problems, and communicate effectively across all project levels. Must be available to work on-site in Texas for the full duration of the contract.
