What You'll Do:
The Superintendent holds responsibility for planning, directing, and coordinating activities of commercial construction projects on site to ensure that the goals and objectives are accomplished within the prescribed time frame and funding parameters. An additional focus of this position is to strengthen existing as well as build new and lasting relationships with clientele and subcontractors.
You'll:
Upon assignment of project, refine project specific and client-driven goals and schedules. On negotiated design-build projects, assist the design team. Identify design inefficiencies and recommend changes. Establish and maintain project goals and success criteria meeting the client's needs. Plan, prioritize, coordinate, and supervise multiple activities for project. Coordinate work with different crafts and subcontractors, assuming responsibility for productivity, and contractual performance of the project. Maintain project budget, schedules, and cost control. Update schedule weekly with Project Manager. Provide estimating assistance to Project Manager as needed. Communicate weekly project schedule updates to subcontractors and owners. Review field change orders prior to submitting to Project Manager. Submit draft RFIs to Project Manager for approval. Share leadership with Project Manager of weekly project meetings with all stakeholders. Review and address plan details, resolve issues before they result in added budget expenditures. Maintain continual open communication with design team, Project Manager, client, and subcontractors to ensure work complies with drawings, specifications, and schedule. Maintain awareness of safety rules and procedures among personnel, identify safety hazards and implement corrective actions. Document hours worked and submit to HR/Payroll Coordinator each week. Provide feedback to Vice President of Field Operations on subordinates. Attend client meetings as required. Perform additional assignments at supervisor's direction.

What We're Looking For:
Bachelor's degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, or related field Minimum 10 years of work experience in a commercial construction environment, of which 5 years was as a Project Engineer or Assistant Superintendent in same setting. Experience leading commercial construction projects with a value of $5M or greater Exceptional organizational, time management, and decision-making/problem-solving skills Skilled in supervising up to 30 employees; Position directly supervises the position of Assistant Superintendent, Foreman, Project Engineer (Field), and Job Clerk Solid math, communication, and tech skills OSHA 10 and CPR/First Aid certifications (or ability to obtain) Valid driver's license required with good driving record and ability to operate a pickup truck This is a physically active role, involving both indoor and outdoor environments and regular travel to job sites within Texas with the willingness to travel to projects throughout the Southeast is a huge plus!
