Job Description

Summary:
Perform tasks involving physical labor at construction sites.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Routinely sets up signs and barriers in accordance with training and traffic control supervisor directions Clean or prepare construction sites to eliminate possible hazards Load, unload or identify building materials, machinery, or tools distributing them to the appropriate locations Control traffic passing near, in or around work zones with appropriate training provided Signal equipment operators to facilitate alignment, movement, or adjustment of machinery, equipment, or materials with appropriate training provided Ability to understand and comply with safety considerations as set herein and as directed by the foreman/supervisor May be required to walk long distances over uneven or rough terrain May be required to drive motor vehicle in performance of duties
Supervisory Responsibilities:
None Requirements:
Must be able to follow specific directions; perform a variety of duties which may often change; work within standards of accuracy; repeat tasks according to set procedures and safety requirements
Education and Experience:
High school diploma preferred and on-the-job training required Certification per State guidelines is a plus Candidates that accept an offer of employment are required to undergo and successfully complete a pre-employment physical examination. This exam is essential to ensure that all potential employees meet the necessary health and fitness standards for the role. The examination includes a series of tests and evaluations conducted by a certified medical professional to assess overall physical health, identify any potential medical conditions that could interfere with job performance, and verify that the candidate is capable of safely performing the essential duties of the position. Completion and clearance of this physical are mandatory steps in the hiring process.
