About the
Role:
The Dirt Work Supervisor plays a critical role in overseeing and managing earthmoving and excavation projects to ensure timely, safe, and efficient completion. This position requires coordinating with project managers, equipment operators, and subcontractors to maintain workflow and quality standards. The supervisor will utilize mapping and planning tools to optimize site layouts and material movement. Effective communication and documentation are essential to track progress, resolve issues, and report to stakeholders. Ultimately, the role ensures that all dirt work activities comply with safety regulations and project specifications while meeting budget and schedule goals.Minimum Qualifications:
Proven experience supervising dirt work or earthmoving projects in a construction environment. Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel for data tracking and reporting. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including professional email correspondence. Familiarity with mapping tools such as Google Maps API or similar geographic information systems. Valid driver's license and ability to travel to various job sites within the United States.Preferred Qualifications:
Certification in construction safety or OSHA training. Experience with project management software and digital construction tools. Ability to read and interpret construction plans and blueprints. Experience working with diverse teams and subcontractors in a fast-paced environment.Responsibilities:
Supervise daily dirt work operations including excavation, grading, and site preparation activities. Coordinate with project managers and equipment operators to schedule tasks and allocate resources efficiently. Utilize Google Maps API and other mapping tools to plan site layouts and monitor progress. Maintain clear and professional email communication with team members, subcontractors, and clients. Track project metrics and prepare reports using Microsoft Excel to monitor productivity and costs. Ensure compliance with safety standards and environmental regulations on all job sites.
