Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking an experienced and self-directed Traveling Construction Superintendent to oversee day-to-day operations on our active project sites. From groundbreaking to closeout, you will be the on-site leader responsible for maintaining project schedules, enforcing safety protocols, and ensuring the highest quality of workmanship.
Key Responsibilities Site Management:
Direct daily on-site supervision of subcontractors, vendors, and laborers to ensure strict adherence to plans, specifications, and building codes.
Schedule & Budget:
Develop, update, and manage the critical path construction schedule, including generating 3-week look-ahead schedules.
Quality & Safety:
Enforce OSHA compliance and company safety standards. Conduct regular quality control inspections and safety toolbox meetings.
Documentation:
Process RFIs, manage submittals, and complete detailed daily reports using construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam).
Stakeholder Communication:
Lead weekly OAC (Owner, Architect, Contractor) meetings and build lasting, positive relationships with clients and local municipal authorities.
Qualifications & Skills Experience:
8+ years of progressive field supervision experience as a Lead Superintendent with a General Contractor.
Project Expertise:
Proven track record with ground-up commercial construction.
Tech Savvy:
Proficiency in construction management software such as Procore, Microsoft Project, and Bluebeam Revu.
Certifications:
OSHA 30-Hour certification strongly preferred.
Travel:
Ability to travel and temporarily relocate to project sites nationwide with valid driver's license and clean driving record.
