The first project is based in Salinas, CA, with future projects located across the United States. Travel is fully supported with vehicle allowance, flights, per diem and bonus. We're recruiting on behalf of a highly respected commercial general contractor that has built an outstanding reputation delivering ground-up automotive dealerships across the United States. With a strong backlog of projects and continued growth, they're looking for an experienced Traveling Superintendent who thrives on delivering fast-paced commercial projects to the highest standard. What You'll Be Doing You'll take full responsibility for managing field operations from site mobilisation through to final handover, ensuring every project is delivered safely, on schedule and to the highest quality standards. Projects will primarily consist of ground-up automotive dealerships , requiring strong coordination of structural steel, pre-engineered metal buildings and multiple trades.
Responsibilities include:
Lead all on-site construction activities. Manage subcontractors, suppliers and daily site operations. Drive project schedules and maintain programme milestones. Coordinate structural steel and pre-engineered metal building installations. Conduct daily safety meetings and enforce OSHA compliance. Maintain quality control throughout every phase of construction. Work closely with Project Managers, clients and design teams. Resolve site issues quickly to minimise programme delays. Ensure successful project closeout and turnover. What We're Looking For Ground-up commercial construction experience. Experience building automotive dealerships is advantageous. Hands-on experience with Pre-Engineered Metal Buildings (PEMB) and structural steel construction. Proven experience managing projects from site mobilisation through completion. Ability to travel extensively throughout the United States. Strong leadership, communication and scheduling skills. OSHA knowledge and commitment to maintaining exceptional safety standards. Applications without experience in PEMB/structural steel construction and ground-up commercial projects will not be considered. What's On Offer Around $130,000 base salary. Vehicle allowance.
