Job Title:
Construction Project Manager Job Description We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee and manage various aspects of construction projects. This role requires a strong leader who can manage pre-construction activities, scheduling, budgeting, and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. Responsibilities Manage the pre-construction, preplanning, and construction project scheduling process. Review and approve project budgets including labor, materials, and subcontractors to ensure resource allocation aligns with budgetary constraints. Negotiate and establish subcontractor contracts with external vendors, ensuring beneficial agreements for the project. Oversee project finances including profitability and cash flow, with accountability for the overall profitability of the project. Engage in design conflict resolution by collaborating with engineers and architects to determine project specifications. Lead strategic planning and manage project submittals, requests for information, and the change order process. Implement monthly cost reports and provide accurate cost projections. Research and propose construction methods, timelines, and options. Identify and process change orders when necessary. Approve payments to suppliers and subcontractors. Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, reporting any issues promptly. Maintain and develop client relationships and pursue upcoming work opportunities. Supervise subcontractors and internal support services, maintaining a clean and safe work environment. Essential Skills In-depth understanding of construction procedures and project management principles. Strong leadership skills. Proficient in scheduling, logistics, and procurement of equipment and materials. Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Consistent dependability and availability. Ability to work in a fast-paced construction office environment. Organizational skills for document management related to work orders and personnel. Aptitude for learning new systems. Proficiency in Microsoft Projects, Office, Excel, and Word. Experience with AutoBid, P6 Scheduler, and Bluebeam is preferred. Mechanical knowledge and project management skills. Ability to train estimating staff on technical aspects of project management. Additional Skills & Qualifications Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university; or 10+ years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 5 years of experience in the construction field leading projects up to $15 million in scope. Experience in mechanical construction, MEP, mission critical, data center, and commercial projects. Work Environment This position is based onsite in Haskell, Texas, in a dynamic and fast-paced construction environment. The role demands a high level of interaction with subcontractors and internal teams, ensuring adherence to safety and cleanliness standards. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Haskell, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $48.00 - $65.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
