This leadership role is responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and controlling large or complex electrical construction projects. The Superintendent will provide oversight and leadership to field teams, subcontractors, and all related project activities to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, within budget, and to required quality standards. Key ResponsibilitiesSafety & Compliance Lead and enforce all jobsite safety practices in alignment with OSHA regulations and company safety policies Oversee implementation of site-specific safety requirements for all personnel and subcontractors Participate in safety meetings, incident investigations, and corrective action follow-ups Ensure completion of all required safety documentation and inspections Coordinate OSHA inspections, investigations, and compliance-related activities Maintain proper site housekeeping and ensure secure jobsite conditions after hours Verify availability of first aid supplies and emergency response arrangements Leadership & Supervision Provide direct leadership to foremen and general foremen across multiple crews Communicate project goals, plans, and expectations clearly to all team members and subcontractors Resolve productivity, manpower, material, and coordination challenges on site Maintain strong working relationships with inspectors, engineers, subcontractors, and project stakeholders Participate in site inspections and progress reviews Motivate teams to maintain productivity, quality, and morale Planning & Scheduling Participate in pre-construction and project coordination meetings Develop and manage construction sequencing and work plans Maintain a rolling 3-week lookahead schedule for labor, materials, and equipment Track RFIs, change orders, and ensure updates are reflected in project plans and as-builts Coordinate closely with project managers, engineering, estimating, logistics, and procurement teams Identify and escalate potential project risks or delays early Quality Control Ensure all electrical work meets company and project quality standards Oversee subcontractor performance and contractual compliance Review inspection reports and ensure timely resolution of deficiencies Implement continuous improvement practices for productivity and quality Administration & Reporting Review and approve timecards and project-related documentation Maintain accurate as-built drawings and daily superintendent reports Track progress schedules and assist with monthly project reporting and billing updates Ensure daily Task Hazard Analyses (THA) are completed and documented Support project close-out and administrative requirements as needed Qualifications & Requirements Completion of an electrical apprenticeship program or equivalent experience Active Texas Journeyman Electrician License (Required) Minimum 5+ years in a supervisory or leadership role in electrical construction Strong understanding of construction scopes across multiple trades Advanced knowledge of OSHA safety regulations (OSHA-30 required or must be obtained within 6 months) Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications Strong scheduling, planning, and cost control understanding Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills Proficiency with computers and project management tools Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accountability Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure Work Environment This role is based on active construction sites involving coordination with multiple trades, subcontractors, inspectors, and project stakeholders. Work may involve exposure to varying weather conditions and physically active site environments. Travel Up to 25% travel may be required depending on project needs.
