Susman & Associates Inc. - 3.1 La Porte, TX Job Details Full-time $50 - $55 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Mechanical engineering TWIC Card Construction project management ARSC Basic Orientation Plus Leading team collaboration initiatives Leadership Cross-functional communication Full Job Description Job Description A Mechanical Superintendent oversees and manages all mechanical aspects of a construction project to ensure each project is completed in the safest and most efficient manner while maintaining the highest level of quality expected. A Superintendent must have excellent communication skills and be a good steward to our clients and others on job sites.
Responsibilities Organization:
Organizing, planning, and overseeing a project from beginning to end.
Safety:
Guarantee everyone on site is following the safety protocols and procedures of the facility. Host daily "toolbox" meetings to review all safety requirements of the tasks being completed that day. Participation in safety program and enforcement of these programs with employees onsite.
JSA and Permitting:
Preparing the JSA for the work activities for the day and discussing with employees onsite prior to work beginning. Applying for and receiving safe work permits from control room or designated permit issuer while onsite.
Management:
Leading and managing the on-site construction team, including subcontractors, foreman, and field employees on the project.
Quality Control:
Completing quality inspections and ensuring quality standards are met.
Procurement:
Ensuring that the project has the necessary equipment, tools, and materials for the project to be completed.
Following Plans and Specifications:
Must be able to read construction drawings and clearly understand the tasks you are to complete.
Documentation:
Documents that the Superintendent must complete include time sheets, daily construction log, manpower, purchase orders, material receiving reports, and other various documents.
Communication:
Superintendent must have clear and effective communication skills for both client representatives and Internally. Required Skills and Qualifications Clean Background and Driving Record Current TWIC card and Basic + or SE-SAFE Able to plan and execute effectively Strong leadership and
