Position Overview:
As an OSP Manager on the Fiber Design & Implementation team, you will be responsible for leading the successful execution of Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) projects from initial design through final closeout. This role manages project scope, schedule, budget, quality, and stakeholder communications while ensuring technical accuracy, safety compliance, and alignment with organizational objectives. Acting as the primary point of contact for clients and internal teams, the OSP Manager drives all aspects of FTTH implementation, including field verifications and staking, right-of-way (ROW) jurisdiction and permitting, high-level design, construction oversight, and project closeout. Responsibilities Effectively manage the complexities of telecommunications projects while building strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and project teams. Develop and maintain project plans to track critical path tasks, dependencies, milestones, and requirements throughout the project lifecycle. Coordinate, monitor, and consult on fiber construction activities to ensure projects are built as designed and installed according to established guidelines and procedures. Oversee contractor selection and construction activities, ensuring adherence to project specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and budget expectations. Monitor project progress, quality, risks, and issue resolution while identifying gaps in project delivery and proactively escalating concerns when appropriate. Provide regular project status updates to clients and stakeholders, manage expectations, and drive successful project closeout through completion of all deliverables within scope, schedule, and budget. Qualifications Required Qualifications PMP Certification with 3-5 years of project management experience, or 6+ years of project management experience utilizing project management tools and methodologies. Experience in telecommunications design and infrastructure, fiber optic networks, project management, budgeting, resource allocation, and process controls. Knowledge of business analysis, budget management, client and stakeholder communication, risk assessment and mitigation, process improvement, and quality assurance practices. Understanding of aerial, buried, and underground fiber construction methods and procedures, RUS construction standards and compliance requirements, cable schematics, and construction prints. Proven leadership skills with the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams, manage project resources, and support successful project execution. Ability to travel as needed to support client, stakeholder, and project requirements. Preferred Qualifications:
Experience managing Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) deployment projects. Experience overseeing resident inspectors, construction teams, or field operations personnel.
