Construction Project Manager Assistant 3.5 3.5 out of 5 stars McAllen, TX Full-time Century Construction 19 reviews Full-time We are seeking an Construction Project Manager Assistant to join our team, here at Century Construction! This position will be responsible for understanding the project deliverables, creating timelines and the coordination of all aspects of the residential project from start to finish. The project manager will also be responsible for coordinating with the client, as well as, contractors, subcontractors, and other vendors. They will also be responsible for exercising a high degree of confidentiality and professionalism, while building relationships and working closely with key roles through all levels of the company. Responsibilities Manage the day-to-day operations of construction projects, ensuring adherence to project plans and schedules Monitor and communicate project progress, track milestones and provide status updates Maintain accurate project documentation, including project plans, schedules and reports Coordinate and allocate resources, equipment, and materials to ensure efficient project execution Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory standards and adherence to quality standards and best practices throughout the project life cycle Obtain necessary approvals and support for project initiation Lead and manage cross-functional project teams, including technicians and subcontractors Set clear expectations, provide guidance and mentor team members to ensure project success Foster a collaborative and productive work environment, promoting effective communication and teamwork Facilitate meetings and discussions to drive project progress and resolve any issues or conflicts by applying effective problem-solving and decision making techniques Collaborate with team, including clients, vendors and subcontractors to ensure alignment and timely project delivery Acts as the representative on current and future construction projects Qualifications Must be bilingual - English and Spanish 1+ years proven experience as an Construction Project Manager (preferred) or equivalent Has attained or is working towards a Project Management professional designation (preferred) In-depth knowledge of residential construction principles, practices and methodologies Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a strong attention to detail Ability to work in a team environment with varying levels of experience and skills Strong leadership and team management skills Strong problem-solving and decision making abilities Familiar with estimating, scheduling, subcontract coordination, and material procurement Above average organizational skills to document change management process and reportings Review change orders and identify any potential risks Must be able to clean certain parts of job sites Must be able to load/unload/lift 50+ lbs.
