Overview:
We are seeking a hands-on, safety-oriented Construction Superintendent to support the construction of a water treatment plant in Pecos, TX. This role requires a field-driven leader who is actively engaged in daily construction activities by coordinating crews, solving problems in real time, and stepping in as needed to keep work progressing. The
  • Ideal candidate is safety-focused, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, boots-on the
  • ground environment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and actively participate in day-to-day construction activities on-site
  • Supervise and work alongside subcontractors and field crews to drive progress
  • Walk the site continuously to monitor work, address issues, and maintain productivity
  • Step in to assist with field coordination as needed
  • Ensure work aligns with project drawings, specifications, and quality expectations that the engineering team sets
  • Coordinate with Electric Hydrogen's engineering team on RFIs to drive timely responses, including supporting scope clarification
  • Conduct mechanical quality inspections to generate contractor punch list items
  • Drive safety-oriented culture and enforce strict safety standards to maintain a safe work environment
  • Participate in daily toolbox talks and immediately correct unsafe conditions
  • Execute based on lookahead schedules and keep crews aligned with priorities
  • Coordinate with the site logistics specialist for materials, equipment, and deliveries
  • Troubleshoot field issues quickly and implement practical solutions
  • Communicate daily progress, risks, and needs to Electric Hydrogen's site team
  • Maintain daily logs, reports, and basic site documentation
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of construction experience with a strong background in field execution
  • Prior experience as a superintendent, foreman, or working supervisor
  • Experience in industrial, civil, or water/wastewater construction preferred
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, sequencing, and site logistics
  • Proven ability to manage crews while remaining hands-on in the field
  • Knowledge of OSHA standards and commitment to driving safety culture and enforcing safety process
  • Available to work full-time on-site in Pecos, TX on a 6-days/week, 10-hours/day schedule for the duration of the project Why TalentBurst?
