The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in direct care, and operations management, ensuring that our participants with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) receive the highest quality of care while upholding their rights and dignity. This role requires exceptional leadership skills, a commitment to person-centered care, and the ability to offer oversight and monitoring to staff and participants. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Lead daily operations for the San Antonio ISS Center, ensuring compliance with all regulations, standards, policies, and procedures while maintaining high-quality service standards under the guidance of the ISS Manager. Collaborate with the participants' service planning team such as their nurses, case manager, specialty therapist and service coordinator. Supervise and support ISS staff in delivering high-quality, person-centered services to participants. Reinforce individualized goals and outcomes that meet the unique needs of each participant. Foster a positive environment that promotes participants' rights, dignity, and overall well-being. Report facility maintenance requests, critical incidents and other facility needs or concerns to the ISS Manager. Conduct training for staff on special needs, behavior management strategies and crisis intervention. Availability to step in as PRN staff during emergencies or staff absences, as needed. Maintain flexibility to adjust daily schedule as needed to ensure coverage during operational hours from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Address concerns or issues raised by participants or their families promptly and effectively in collaboration with ISS Manager and interdisciplinary team members. Other essential duties or responsibilities may be assigned for the overall operations. Assist with planning and coordination of community outing. Provide transportation support as needed using the 15 passenger ISS center van. Qualifications Proven experience in long-term care settings such as home health care, group homes, assisted living homes or nursing homes. Experience with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), elderly care and/or health care operations preferred Strong knowledge of individual/elderly rights and compliance HHSC regulations, preferred. Experience promoting individualized care plan (IPC) and reinforcing individual goals and outcomes. Excellent organizational and time management skills with a commitment to quality improvement. Ability to lead and support team effectively fostering collaboration, accountability, and a positive work environment. Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with participants, families, staff and interdisciplinary team members. A compassionate and person-centered approach with a commitment to enhancing quality experience for the Individuals we serve. Must be 18 years or older with Valid Driver's License and car insurance; HS Diploma/GED/Degree or experience in lieu of education may be considered. Criminal background check required. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and able to provide required I-9 documentation upon hire.
Schedule:
Monday to Friday (7:30 am to 5:00 pm); 8 hr. shifts/40 hours weekly
  • Ability to provide coverage for ISS staff during emergencies or staff absences as directed by the ISS Manager.

$17.50 - $19 hourly dependent upon experience

$17.50 - $19.00 per hour
