Job Description

Mechanical Project Manager Job Summary A well-established mechanical contractor is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee commercial mechanical construction from preconstruction through closeout, with full ownership of scope, schedule, budget, and coordination with field leadership. Projects include commercial, healthcare, industrial, and institutional mechanical work, with scopes covering HVAC, piping, plumbing, and related MEP systems. Key Responsibilities Manage mechanical construction projects from kickoff through final closeout Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and cost reports Coordinate closely with superintendents, foremen, subcontractors, and vendors Review drawings, specifications, contracts, and scopes of work Manage change orders, RFIs, submittals, and project documentation Serve as a primary point of contact for clients and design teams Ensure projects are executed safely, on time, and to quality standards Support procurement, buyout, and coordination efforts as needed Required Experience 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager in mechanical or HVAC construction Strong background in commercial mechanical systems Experience managing multiple projects or large single-project scopes Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications Comfortable working closely with field leadership and jobsite teams Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills Preferred Experience Design-build or design-assist project delivery Healthcare, industrial, or large commercial project experience Familiarity with construction management software (Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, etc.) Mechanical engineering or construction management degree a plus Compensation and Benefits Competitive base salary based on experience Performance bonuses or incentive opportunities Full benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company match Paid time off and paid holidays Long-term stability with a contractor that has a strong backlog of work Why This Opportunity Stable contractor with consistent work and long-term projects Opportunity to run meaningful mechanical work, not just paperwork Supportive team environment with strong field leadership Clear path for growth and advancement How to Apply Qualified candidates are encouraged to apply or reach out directly for a confidential conversation.
