IREN's vertically integrated platform is underpinned by its expansive portfolio of grid-connected land and data centers in renewable-rich regions across the U.S. and Canada. The Construction Senior Superintendent- Mechanical will take ownership of complex mechanical construction scopes, particularly cutting-edge liquid cooling systems, playing a key role in delivering next-generation, high-performance data center facilities.

PMP, LEED
AP, or similar certifications are a plus. Minimum of 7 years of experience in mechanical construction management, with at least 3 years in data center or mission-critical facility projects. Proven experience with liquid cooling systems (e.g., direct-to-chip, immersion cooling) in high-performance computing environments. In-depth knowledge of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and liquid cooling infrastructure. Familiarity with data center design standards (e.g., Uptime Institute, ASHRAE TC 9.9). Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, Primavera, MS Project, MS Office Suite). Strong leadership and communication skills to manage diverse teams and stakeholders. Excellent problem-solving abilities to address complex technical challenges. Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and safety.Other important requirements:
Pre-employment screening, including background check and substance testing may be required according to company policies. Must provide own steel-toed work boots; other PPE will be supplied. Must be able to reliably commute to the work site daily or have plans to relocate before starting work. Must be comfortable working a rotational schedule, which includes day and night shifts as well as weekend work, based on project needs. Employees working night shifts will receive a 15% premium added to their hourly rate only for hours worked during night shifts. Project Oversight- Manage all mechanical construction activities for data center projects, including the installation of liquid cooling systems, HVAC, piping, and related infrastructure. Liquid Cooling Expertise
- Oversee the design, procurement, installation, and commissioning of liquid cooling technologies, ensuring compatibility with high-density computing environments. Coordination
- Collaborate with architects, electrical engineers, general contractors, and vendors to integrate mechanical systems with other data center components (e.g., power and networking). Quality Control
- Ensure all mechanical installations comply with project specifications, industry standards, and local building codes. Schedule Management
- Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely completion of mechanical milestones while proactively mitigating risks and delays. Budget Management
- Monitor and control mechanical construction costs, including equipment, labor, and materials, to ensure adherence to project budgets. Safety Compliance
- Enforce strict adherence to OSHA and site-specific safety protocols, particularly for high-risk mechanical installations. Vendor Management
- Manage relationships with subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring timely delivery of materials and services for mechanical and liquid cooling systems. Commissioning and Testing
- Oversee commissioning of mechanical systems, including performance testing of liquid cooling loops, pumps, heat exchangers, and backup systems. Documentation
- Maintain accurate and complete records of mechanical installations, including as-built drawings, equipment specifications, and compliance reports. Sustainability Focus
- Promote energy-efficient and environmentally sustainable practices in the design and construction of mechanical systems.
