Civil Superintendent

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Civil Superintendent to lead and oversee large-scale construction projects from inception to completion. This role is vital in ensuring that construction activities are executed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with project specifications, schedules, and budgets. The ideal candidate will bring a proactive management style, exceptional supervision skills, and a comprehensive understanding of civil construction processes. You will coordinate with project teams, subcontractors, and clients to deliver high-quality results while maintaining strict adherence to safety standards and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities Lead on-site construction activities, supervising crews and subcontractors to ensure work progresses according to plans and schedules. Develop, update, and monitor project schedules using Primavera P6 or similar construction management software to keep projects on track. Review blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to verify accuracy and clarify project requirements. Manage project budgets, control costs, and oversee procurement processes utilizing HeavyBid or comparable estimating tools. Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and enforce safety protocols across all construction sites. Conduct quality control inspections to uphold construction standards and rectify any deficiencies promptly. Read and interpret contracts, scope of work documents, and construction specifications to ensure project adherence. Utilize construction management software such as ProCore, Bluebeam, or Primavera for documentation, reporting, and communication purposes. Supervise daily site operations, managing personnel activities while fostering a safe and productive work environment. Coordinate with engineers and architects to review schematics and resolve technical issues efficiently. Oversee the use of testing equipment like ohmmeters for electrical inspections when necessary. Maintain detailed records of progress reports, safety incidents, change orders, and other project documentation. Experience Proven experience in heavy civil construction management with a strong background in supervising large teams on active construction sites. Extensive knowledge of construction site safety regulations including OSHA standards. Demonstrated proficiency in project scheduling tools such as Primavera P6 or MS Project. Hands-on experience reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings for civil projects involving pipelines or infrastructure development. Familiarity with construction estimating software like HeavyBid for budgeting purposes. Strong understanding of contracts management and the ability to interpret contractual obligations accurately. Supervising experience that showcases leadership capabilities in managing diverse teams effectively. Practical knowledge of using construction management software including ProCore or Bluebeam for daily operations documentation. Ability to read schematics accurately and utilize testing equipment such as ohmmeters for electrical inspections when required. Pay:

$100,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
