Director of Construction•
Utility-Scale Solar Location:
Virginia (with regional travel) A leading utility-scale solar EPC is looking to bring on a Director of Construction to support a growing pipeline across the Mid-Atlantic region. This is a senior leadership role, focused on overseeing multiple active projects, building out field teams, and driving execution across the full construction lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
Oversee all construction activities across a portfolio of utility-scale solar projects Manage and develop Project Managers, Superintendents, and field teams Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget Work closely with engineering, procurement, and preconstruction teams Implement and maintain QA/QC and safety standards across all sites Support hiring and scaling of construction teams as the pipeline grows What they're looking for: 10+ years of experience in construction, with strong exposure to utility-scale solar Proven track record managing multiple large-scale projects at once Experience leading teams across project management and field operations Strong understanding of EPC execution, scheduling, and cost controls Ability to operate both strategically and hands-on when needed Why it's worth a conversation: Established EPC with a strong project pipeline and repeat clients Opportunity to build and shape a regional construction team High visibility role with leadership influence across the business Competitive compensation package with bonus and long-term growth If you're open to exploring, happy to share more details.
