SUPERINTENDENT - GOVERNMENT / HIGHLY REGULATED PROJECTS
Washington, DC / Northern Virginia / Maryland (DMV Region) We are currently representing a leading General Contractor seeking experienced Superintendents to support ongoing and upcoming work throughout the Washington, DC metro area, Northern Virginia, and Maryland markets. This team focuses on complex projects within government, mission critical, and highly regulated environments and is looking for construction professionals who thrive in technically challenging, operationally sensitive projects.
Target markets include:
Washington, DC Northern Virginia, including Stafford, Fredericksburg, and surrounding areas supporting work in the Culpeper region Maryland surrounding the DMV region Ideal candidates will have experience managing projects within occupied facilities, phased construction environments, and projects requiring strict adherence to security, operational, and regulatory standards. Experience working in government, federal, SCIF, secure, mission critical, healthcare, laboratory, data center, or other highly regulated environments is highly preferred. Candidates with active clearances or prior federal project experience are especially encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities :
Oversee day-to-day field operations from preconstruction through closeout Coordinate subcontractors, schedules, safety, and quality control efforts onsite Manage phased construction activities within occupied or operational facilities Ensure compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements Maintain strong communication with project teams, clients, inspectors, and trade partners Drive schedule performance and proactively resolve field issues
Qualifications :
Superintendent experience with a General Contractor Experience on government, federal, mission critical, healthcare, laboratory, or highly regulated projects preferred Ability to manage occupied renovation and phased construction environments Strong leadership and communication skills Stable work history and team-oriented mentality Active clearance is a plus, but not required If you would be interested in learning more about these opportunities, please apply directly or reach out for a confidential conversation.
