Job Description
Overview The Electrical and Plumbing Trades Manager leads residential service operations, ensuring safe, high-quality work while developing technicians to deliver excellent customer experiences. This role drives revenue growth by coaching technicians on in-home communication, solution presentation, and service-based sales. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily residential electrical and plumbing service operations, including scheduling, dispatch, and job completion. Lead, coach, and develop technicians to improve performance, customer satisfaction, and retention. Ensure all work meets safety standards, codes, and company quality expectations. Monitor KPIs (average ticket, conversion rates, callbacks) and drive continuous improvement. Conduct ride-alongs and field observations to reinforce service and sales behaviors. Design and deliver sales training focused on educating customers, identifying needs, and presenting repair/replacement options (no direct selling responsibility). Manage inventory, materials, and vendor relationships. Support hiring, onboarding, and ongoing training of field staff. Qualifications 5+ years in residential electrical/plumbing service; 2+ years in leadership. Strong knowledge of residential systems and service workflows. Experience coaching technicians on customer interaction and sales fundamentals. Relevant licensing as required by state. Strong leadership, communication, and performance management skills.
