Job Description

TEEL Construction is seeking a Senior Superintendent to join our dynamic Field team and diverse portfolio of projects!
OVERALL PROJECT & TEAM LEAD RESPONBILITIES
The Senior Superintendent position encompasses all the aspects of their projects as outlined in the Superintendent job description. This position is also jointly responsible for the overall success of their team member's assigned projects as a Team Lead for the company as further outlined below. This position oversees and participates in the allocation of resources to ensure a safe, timely, and quality project, all while achieving and improving the profit margin. The Senior Superintendent is a primary contact with the owner, trade partners, suppliers, and other company personnel. As a primary face of the company, the Senior Superintendent strives to keep the customer happy to encourage long-term business relationships.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS TEAM LEAD & LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensures owner and trade partner relationships are maintained at the highest level possible while holding all project stakeholders accountable Provides overall support of the Superintendents, Assistant Superintendents and Laborers assigned to their team Provides input regarding overall project risk analysis and mitigation strategies Gains a working knowledge of their project specifics, sporadically visiting each team member's job sites and attending project meetings when necessary Assists the General Superintendent and Director of Field Operations by reviewing vacation requests to ensure job sites are properly covered Assists the training of their teams on TEEL SOPs and overall use of Procore Reviews updates and maintains the enforcement of the TEEL Quality Control and Safety plans with their teams Helps their teams navigate constructability, owner and trade partner issues that arise on a weekly basis
PROJECT SITE SUPPORT
Provides leadership by example for their team through the following required activities: Creates and conducts weekly trade partner planning meetings for the next 2-3 weeks of scheduled work and updates their schedules Reviews the budget weekly and discusses any variances with the project team Provides career development mentoring to each of their team members
SCHEDULE
Drives the project schedule to ensure the contract requirements are met or exceeded Maintains maximum project efficiency and management of costs Records any additional labor/manpower onsite in Procore Maintains or improves the job schedule by identifying ways to create or make up time
QUALITY & SAFETY
Supervises the layout and installation and all work performed, ensuring it complies with plans, specifications, and local building codes and laws. Stops the work if, at any point, it does not conform with local building codes, plans, or specifications and notifies the project team immediately, and makes the necessary plan for corrections Performs weekly project reviews with their team members that include the following items: Implements all company safety and quality programs Enforces all workmanship meets or exceeds industry quality standards and holds at least one weekly meeting with the trade partners to discuss and review a written set of quality standards before starting their work Ensures trade partners are following the company's safety manual and all related jobsite protocol including the Project Safety Start-up Checklists and Field Safety Inspections weekly Ensures the company Emergency Action Plan and OSHA Logs are posted

KNOWLEDGE/EDUCATION/SKILLS/ABILITIES REQUIRED
High school diploma or equivalent Thorough working knowledge of commercial building standards, specifications, codes, regulations and laws Knowledge of commercial construction techniques with 10 years' experience in construction and at least 5 years in a leadership position Effective communication skills; both verbal and written OSHA 30 certified with working knowledge of OSHA regulations Computer and other technology skills with working competencies in Procore, Microsoft Project and Microsoft 365.
