DC/MD/VA
area
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience with a large scale heavy civil contractor or equivalent industry experience In depth knowledge of the construction process including scheduling, contract administration, equipment and manpower Ability to lead field operations with effective decision making and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and leadership abilities Understanding of construction equipment, including safe operating practices and maintenance In-depth understanding of local, state and federal construction regulations High School diploma or equivalent Must pass pre-employment physical/drug screening
Responsibilities :
Schedule, supervise and monitor construction to meet or exceed the project schedule and budget Encourages and/or participates in staff training and development Collaborate with clients, Project Managers, other construction management to determine budget and timeline Develop a project schedule, sequence of work, and monitory daily productivity Have a working knowledge of owner contracts, subcontracts, and purchase orders Supervise field work force to assure safety, production and budget requirements are met Coordinate materials and equipment delivery to ensure long-lead and critical-path items are on-site Maintain a daily log for the job site's operations, reporting to management as necessary Assure punch list is completed in a timely manner
