Position Overview:
The Fordy Group are partnering with a leading General Contractor headquartered in McLean, VA, seeking an experienced Senior Superintendent to oversee large-scale commercial and federal construction projects throughout the DMV region. This individual will play a critical leadership role in managing field operations, driving project schedules, maintaining safety standards, and ensuring successful project delivery from start to finish. The ideal candidate will bring deep experience managing complex commercial and government/federal projects, strong leadership capabilities, and a proven track record of delivering high-quality projects on schedule and within budget. Key Responsibilities Lead all on-site construction activities from preconstruction through closeout. Manage site teams including Superintendents, Assistant Superintendents, subcontractors, and field personnel. Develop and maintain master project schedules and short-term look-ahead schedules. Coordinate subcontractors, inspections, logistics, and material deliveries to ensure efficient workflow. Ensure strict adherence to OSHA safety regulations and company safety standards. Conduct regular site meetings and provide progress updates to project stakeholders. Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Owners, Architects, Engineers, and Government Representatives. Monitor field productivity, quality control, and project budgets. Resolve field issues proactively to minimize delays and maintain project timelines. Oversee inspections, punch lists, turnover documentation, and final project completion. Maintain compliance with all federal contracting requirements and security protocols where applicable. Required Qualifications Minimum 10+ years of construction experience with at least several years in a Senior Superintendent or Lead Superintendent role.
Proven experience managing:
Commercial construction projects Government/Federal construction projects Strong understanding of construction means and methods, scheduling, and site logistics. Experience overseeing projects ranging from mid-size to large-scale ground-up and renovation work. Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and fast-paced project environments.
Strong knowledge of:
OSHA regulations Quality control procedures Federal construction standards and compliance Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Proficiency with construction management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, or Primavera P6. Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout the DMV region. Preferred Qualifications Experience with secure government facilities, SCIF, mission-critical, or occupied-space renovations. Previous experience working for a top ENR General Contractor. OSHA 30 Certification.

INDTFG Pay:
$160,000.00 - $220,000.00 per year
