Job Description
Construction Superintendent We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Construction Superintendent to oversee and manage commercial construction projects from start to finish. The ideal candidate will be responsible for daily on-site supervision, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with project plans and specifications. This role requires strong leadership, communication, scheduling, and problem-solving skills, along with a solid understanding of construction practices and OSHA safety standards. Key Responsibilities Supervise daily on-site construction activities and ensure work is completed according to project plans, specifications, and quality standards. Manage subcontractors, labor crews, and vendors to maintain project schedules and productivity. Coordinate and maintain positive relationships with project owners, site occupants, inspectors, and stakeholders. Prepare and submit daily reports documenting project progress, manpower, materials, equipment, and site conditions. Communicate project updates, progress, and issues to the Project Manager on a daily basis. Review and maintain project schedules, identifying and addressing delays or potential risks proactively. Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with OSHA safety regulations and company safety policies. Review submittals, change orders, RFIs, and project documentation to ensure project accuracy and efficiency. Ensure all required insurance certificates and project documentation are properly submitted and maintained. Coordinate with inspectors and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with project and code requirements. Respond quickly and effectively to work delays, emergencies, and other on-site challenges. Read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, and technical documents accurately. Qualifications & Requirements Minimum of 5 years of experience supervising commercial construction projects in the field. Strong knowledge of commercial construction methods, materials, and best practices. Proven ability to manage subcontractors and maintain project schedules effectively. Solid understanding of OSHA safety standards and commitment to workplace safety. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to solve problems quickly while maintaining attention to detail. Ability and willingness to travel as required. Valid Driver's License required. Must successfully pass a background check and drug screening. Candidates must include a detailed project list highlighting notable commercial construction projects completed as a Superintendent.
