You will be responsible for directing crews, managing heavy equipment utilization, and overseeing site development to meet critical project milestones. Responsibilities Direct daily site activities, including crew scheduling, task delegation, and performance management to ensure project timelines are met. Monitor production progress and verify labor hours, ensuring accurate reporting of materials and output quantities. Oversee the execution of complex grading plans, including bulk dirt movement, excavation, and precision fine grading. Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols, conducting regular site orientations and coaching team members on best practices. Coordinate with project leadership to manage haul routes, site logistics, and resource allocation. Collaborate with inspectors to verify that all earthwork meets engineering specifications and project requirements. Utilize GPS technology, lasers, and traditional survey methods to ensure accurate grade checking and site layout. Qualifications Required Skills Minimum 5 years of experience in heavy civil construction with a focus on earthwork and site development. Proven leadership experience in a supervisory capacity within a construction environment. Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex construction drawings, cut sheets, and project specifications. Strong understanding of DOT standards, safety regulations, and heavy equipment operation. Ability to perform physical tasks in outdoor environments, including lifting up to 50 lbs. Valid driver's license and ability to pass pre-employment screening. Preferred Skills Experience with GPS-guided grading equipment and modern survey tools. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite for reporting and documentation. High school diploma or equivalent certification. Demonstrated ability to train and mentor operators on heavy machinery.
