Job Description

Job Summary:
Lantz Construction Company of Winchester, Inc. (LCW) is a respected and successful general contractor in the Winchester, VA region with a wide range of successfully competed projects and countless satisfied clients over the last 40 years. LCW is seeking an experienced Special Projects Manager to join our team. LCW's Special Projects Division primarily serves our industrial and manufacturing clients through a vast array of unique and specialized project types. The ideal candidate will be capable of working independently and will have a minimum of 5 years experience overseeing all aspects of construction from inception to completion while ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, all while facilitating outstanding relationships with our clients, subcontractors, vendors and design teams. Qualified candidates will have a wide array of experience including residential and commercial.
Responsibilities:
Independently oversee all project elements including safety, buyout, schedule, and quality. Generate drawings for permitting. Manage project documents including drawings logs, change order logs, RFI logs, submittal logs and meeting minutes. Generate and track project schedules utilizing CPM scheduling software to insure on time project delivery. Effectively manage resources to insure projects are delivered on budget and are of a high quality. Conduct regular meetings with subcontractors and owners to communicate project updates and gather feedback. Analyze subcontractor and vendor scopes to insure completeness and adherence to project specification requirements.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
A strong understanding of building codes, permitting and code compliance. A minimum of 5 years experience in the construction industry. Experience with CADD or Revit is preferred. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with team members and stakeholders. Experience in analyzing subcontractor and vendor scopes. Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen. Proficiency in project management tools such as Primavera, Procore, Autodesk, Bluebeam, and Excel is a plus. Experience with estimating is a plus but not required.
