VMG is currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Superintendent to lead commercial mechanical construction projects in the Southwest Woodbridge / Manassas, VA area. This role requires a hands-on leader who can manage job sites from start to finish-coordinating crews, maintaining schedules, ensuring quality, and keeping projects on track. The ideal candidate brings both strong field expertise and big-picture thinking, taking ownership similar to a Project Manager in the field. Responsibilities Lead daily mechanical field operations and manage crew performance Oversee installation of HVAC and plumbing systems, ensuring quality and code compliance Coordinate manpower, materials, and equipment to maintain project schedules Collaborate closely with Project Managers and General Contractors to ensure alignment and clear communication Identify field challenges early and implement practical solutions Conduct job site safety meetings and enforce company safety standards Track project progress, maintain reports, and ensure accurate documentation Represent VMG professionally with clients, partners, and vendors on site Qualifications 8+ years of experience in commercial mechanical construction Proven ability to lead and manage field teams effectively Strong knowledge of HVAC and plumbing systems, mechanical drawings, and specifications Excellent communication and leadership skills OSHA 30 certification preferred Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required What We Offer Competitive compensation based on experience Competitive pay, with contract or direct hire options available Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company match Paid time off and holidays Ongoing training and professional development Opportunity to grow into senior field leadership or project management roles Supportive team culture with direct communication and leadership access Exposure to a variety of large-scale commercial projects A growth-focused company where your leadership makes an impact Ready to Build With Us?
