In this role, you'll be instrumental in preparing, submitting, and tracking Right-of-Way and utility permits with local jurisdictions. This position offers hands-on coordination with engineering, construction, and permitting authorities to ensure timely project execution. Key Responsibilities Build and maintain working relationships with local and regional permitting departments. Review and interpret engineering plans to prepare and submit accurate permit applications. Coordinate with engineering and construction teams to resolve permitting issues. Monitor permit progress and communicate status updates internally and externally. Ensure permits are submitted, tracked, and retrieved in alignment with project timelines. Support various department goals and contribute to company success with minimal supervision. Required Qualifications 2-3 years' experience in Outside Plant (OSP) Engineering or Construction permitting. Proficiency in Microsoft Office; ability to learn proprietary and cloud-based systems (e.g., Salesforce). Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and meet strict deadlines. High School Diploma or GED. Ability to read and interpret OSP plans and specifications. Must pass a background check and drug screening. Preferred Knowledge Familiarity with Washington State permitting processes. Understanding of trenching, boring, aerial work, and ROW applications. General knowledge of fiber optic and copper plant construction. Experience in telecommunications or utility construction industries. Knowledge of permitting regulations, easements, and right-of-way guidelines. This role is in person at our office located in Milton, WA. Why Cannon?
