This is not an entry-level position. We need someone who understands residential construction and can accurately scope work, develop material lists, coordinate permitting, and support multiple crews and projects simultaneously.
Responsibilities:
  • Create accurate material takeoffs and ordering lists
  • Develop renderings, site plans, and project layouts using CAD, Chief Architect, SketchUp, Revit, or similar software
  • Coordinate directly with homeowners, engineers, architects, suppliers, and permitting agencies
  • Make project planning and coordination decisions necessary to keep projects moving through pre-construction and permitting (permit applications, corrections, revisions, and approvals from start to finish)
  • Independently evaluate plans and project requirements, identify potential construction challenges, and develop solutions prior to production.
  • Support multiple active projects and crews simultaneously
Requirements:
  • 7-10 years of residential construction experience preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience considered
  • Strong understanding of structural framing, decks, additions, remodels, siding, windows, roofing, and exterior renovations
  • Proven experience with residential permitting processes and code requirements
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans, engineering, and specifications
  • Experience creating material takeoffs and ordering materials accurately
  • Experience with CAD, Chief Architect, SketchUp, Revit, AutoCAD, or similar design software
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines without constant supervision
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as needed
  • Must be able to walk active construction sites, climb stairs, take field measurements, and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds
