Turner & Townsend and CBRE work together to provide clients with the premier programme, project and cost management offering in markets around the world. Job Description Turner & Townsend are seeking an experienced Director of Cost Management to lead and develop our Seattle-based cost management team and oversee the delivery of services across major construction programs. This individual will be responsible for ensuring service excellence, driving commercial strategy, and supporting the continued growth of our cost management offering and client base.

The successful candidate will be a driven leader with strong interpersonal and business development skills.
Responsibilities:
Strong leadership skills with experience leading high-performing cost management teams, ensuring delivery across all accountabilitiesLead communications with clients, acting as the primary point of contact and ensuring alignment with program and commercial objectivesDirect and oversee large-scale construction programs, with a focus on sectors such as data centers, life sciences, and commercial real estateLead research related to construction market conditions, including Pacific Northwest regional analysis and use of published dataProduce thought leadership reports providing valuable insights into construction market trends and cost driversLead the strategic and operational management of Cost Management Services across multiple sectors, including resource planning, financial management, business generation, and team developmentSet a clear strategy and growth ambition aligned with the Business Plan, expanding the regional cost management footprintGrow and develop exceptional people, promoting a culture of continuous learning, inclusivity, and career progressionKnowledge management
  • ensure lessons learned and project data are captured and shared across internal systemsProcess improvement
  • identify and implement enhancements to systems, workflows, and service deliveryQuality Control
  • ensure compliance with ISO standards, BMS/SOX controls, and participate in internal and external auditsDevelop priority plans including risk mitigation strategies, KPI performance tracking, and alignment with organizational goalsUndertake internal BMS audits and represent the office during external certification auditsDevelop and maintain market insight, acting as a brand ambassador and building a strong pipeline with new and existing clientsIdentify and act upon cross-selling opportunities across service linesParticipate in leadership meetings and prepare/deliver executive-level presentationsFinancial Management•oversee revenue, margins, monthly fee forecasts, and resource allocation using internal systemsLead preparation of proposals and RFP responses to secure new business opportunitiesAttend networking events and support business development initiatives with senior leadershipMentor and support staff development, ensuring a strong internal talent pipelinePartner with talent acquisition to plan and meet current and future resourcing needsAct as a role model driving a collaborative "one business" culture that balances outcomes for people, clients, and stakeholdersSOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable.
Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Cost Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or related fieldGraduate degree or professional accreditation (e.g., RICS) preferred12+ years of relevant cost management or quantity surveying experience2+ years managing high-performing teams in a consulting environmentProven track record delivering end-to-end cost management services across major programsStrong experience in capital projects within sectors such as data centers, life sciences, commercial real estate, or similar specialized facilitiesDemonstrated success in business development and growing client relationshipsStrong commercial acumen, financial management capability, and negotiation skillsExcellent presentation, communication, and stakeholder management abilitiesAdditional Information
  • On-site presence and requirements may change depending on our client's needs
  • The base salary range for this full-time role is $190K
  • 220K per year.
Ranges are determined by role and level and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. This range is a reflection of base salary only, not of a total compensation package.
