A well-established commercial contractor in the Pacific Northwest is seeking an experienced Preconstruction & Estimating Manager to lead and scale its estimating function. This company specializes in large-scale multifamily and commercial projects and is actively investing in systems, process improvement, and team growth. The organization is known for strong field execution, a collaborative culture, and a forward-thinking approach to operations and technology.
The Role:
Leadership role overseeing estimating and preconstruction functions Strong pipeline, $40M - $60M annually Opportunity to build and scale systems and team Modern tech stack (Project Management/Sales Pipeline, cloud-based takeoff tools) Clear growth path as the company expands
Responsibilities:
Own full bid pipeline: Lead → Qualification → Takeoff → Estimate → Submit → Follow-up Ensure on-time, accurate proposal delivery across all pursuits Oversee takeoff and estimating process (quantities, pricing, scope) Support sales process execution (RFQs, proposals, follow-up) Improve information flow across Purchasing, Ops, Finance, and Risk Lead Go / No-Go decisions and bid strategy alignment Manage and develop estimating team (2 direct reports) Improve and standardize estimating systems and workflows Ensure seamless transition to
Construction Operations Requirements:
5+ years in construction estimating or project management Demonstrated ability to read and understand blueprints, product data, and other technical construction documents Proven ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines Strong attention to detail and process-driven mindset Comfortable with construction software and systems Leadership experience or readiness to lead a team
Pay:
$95,000.00 - $165,000.00 per year
