Kenosha, WI Job Details Part-time 1 day ago Qualifications Middle school teaching Youth programs teaching experience 8th grade experience Driver's License Working with students Working with youth Stakeholder relationship building Full Job Description Teen Achiever Summer Parks Coordinator supports the work of the YMCA, a leading nonprofit organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. The Summer Parks Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing summer park-based youth and community programming at assigned locations. This position ensures safe, engaging, and inclusive recreational opportunities for participants while supporting daily operations, staff supervision, community partnerships, and program quality. The Summer Parks Coordinator works closely with YMCA leadership, community organizations, families, and summer park staff to provide enriching activities that promote positive youth development, healthy lifestyles, and community engagement throughout the summer season. The Teen Achievers Summer Parks Camp Coordinator understands the Kenosha YMCA has zero tolerance for abuse of youth in its programs by employees or volunteers and will follow child abuse prevention policies, comply with mandated reporting requirements, and cooperate with law enforcement. 21 years or older College credits in education or related field (preferred) Experience in teaching reading and/or math preferred; methodologies course work in given content areas preferred. Minimum 2-year experience working with Middle School age youth (6-8th grade) Ability to work cooperatively with children, parents, staff and community partners. Ability to lead, encourage and inspire others (staff and students) Joy and satisfaction in working with middle school children. Effective communicator and ability to build relationships. Ability to work collaboratively with a team and under general supervision. Background check cannot contain offenses restricted by state law. Possess valid driver's license
