The Division of Facilities Development, Bureau of Architecture & Engineering, Construction Services is seeking to hire a Construction Representative-Senior for projects in Madison, Wisconsin. This position will work remotely from the selected candidate's home location. This position requires independent statewide travel throughout Wisconsin to remote locations and onsite meetings on a regular basis. Position Summary The Construction Representative is responsible for providing efficient construction oversight and construction contract administration services for a wide range of capital improvement projects. Specific duties include but are not limited to chairing construction kickoff and construction progress meetings, oversight of work performed by general contractors, documenting and tracking the status of observed design and construction issues, witnessing functional testing procedures, and assuring that contractors comply with construction waste recycling requirements. Salary Information This position is in schedule-range (14-13) with a salary between $93,600.00 and $98,654.40. In addition, the employee will be eligible for a $ 0.30 per hour add-on after completing mandatory specialized training and obtaining certification as an Asbestos Supervisor. A 12-month probationary period is required. Pay for current state employees will be set in accordance with the Wisconsin State Compensation Plan. Qualifications Qualified applicants will have education, training, or experience in: Construction Oversight (e.g., acting as a field representative, reviewing, and resolving design and constructability issues, inspecting the work of contractors and documenting observed deficiencies, reviewing, monitoring, or directing construction close out process, etc.) Construction Administration (e.g. interpreting plans and specifications, chairing construction kickoff meetings and construction progress meetings, reviewing construction schedules, reviewing reimbursable labor rates to confirm that they are fair and reasonable, reviewing schedules of values to confirm that invoiced work is complete, reviewing/approving contractor's pay requests, processing contractor's requests for information, construction bulletins, field orders and change orders, etc.) How To Apply Apply online!
